What is the Tow Buddy?
The original Tow Buddy is a king pin wheel lift attachment for an HD wrecker to tow a bobtail truck from behind. It mounts on the crossbar of the wheel lift. The kingpin on the Tow Buddy fits into the 5th wheel of the truck to be towed.

The Tow Buddy in Use
In addition to being the easiest way to tow your basic inoperable bobtail truck, it can also be used to tow some trucks that are very challenging to tow with other methods.

The New TOW BUDDY II
The new TOW BUDDY II allows you to switch out the hitch - you can use a kingpin to tow a bobtail, or you can select a trailer hitch to tow a trailer.
To tow a trailer simply mount the TOW BUDDY on the wheel lift upside down.
By using taller mounting brackets, you can also use it on a rollback to tow trailers.
